SRS Distribution Inc. has acquired Sider Lumber & Supply Co., Nesconset, N.Y., a wholesale distributor of lumber, decking, roofing, siding, window, doors and other complementary building products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Founded in 1948, Sider Lumber is owned and operated today by Frank and Joe Sider, second and third generation owners. The company employs a team of 18 people. While Frank plans to retire at closing, Joe will continue to lead the business going forward, ensuring continuity and consistency for customers, suppliers, and employees.
