ProVia, Sugarcreek, Oh., is adding two new facilities designed to support the growth of the company’s vinyl window and patio door business. This expansion includes a 310,000-sq. ft. facility in Dover, Oh., that is expected to create 400 jobs, and a 580,000-sq. ft. facility in Davie County, N.C., that is expected to create 400 jobs.
Together the facilities will help ProVia meet growing demand for windows and patio doors while expanding the company's manufacturing footprint into the southern United States. The additional manufacturing capacity will enable the company to increase window and patio door production, maintain excellent lead times, and streamline shipping and distribution. Once these projects are completed, ProVia will own and operate 10 production facilities located in Ohio, Mississippi and North Carolina.
ProVia has reached an agreement with global motion technology company Schaeffler to purchase a 310,000-sq. ft. facility currently under construction on a 97-acre property in Dover.
Construction on this advanced manufacturing facility began in 2024. ProVia will acquire this existing building and complete construction to the company’s specifications, with an expected completion date in 2027.
ProVia also has agreed to purchase a 79-acre, build-ready site in Mocksville, N.C., that is pre-graded, appropriately zoned and equipped with all necessary utilities.
Construction on a new 580,000-sq. ft. manufacturing facility will begin immediately with completion expected in 2028.
The two projects represent a significant expansion of ProVia’s manufacturing capacity and reflect the company’s continued investment in meeting long-term customer demand. Both communities were selected in part for the strength and quality of their local workforces, which ProVia views as an important part of the company’s long-term success in these locations.
“These expansions will enable us to continue delivering quality products to our growing marketplace with a high level of service and excellent lead times,” said Brian Miller, president and CEO, ProVia. “We are humbled to grow at this scale and grateful for the trust our customers place in us. This investment reflects our commitment to continuing to earn that trust by providing exceptional quality and service. It also reflects the tireless efforts of the communities behind these projects, and we are grateful for their partnership.”
“The purchase of this site by ProVia represents a significant commitment to Dover and is a transformational economic development project for our community,” said Shane Gunnoe, Mayor, City of Dover. “ProVia is well respected throughout the region. We look forward to ProVia calling Dover home for many years to come.”
“We welcome ProVia to Davie County and are pleased to provide a fully prepared site that’s an excellent fit for the company’s expansion requirements,” said Terry Bralley, president, Davie Economic Development Commission. “This is a large site in a great location with convenient access to highways and a strong workforce. Our community welcomes ProVia, and we look forward to supporting the company in establishing a home here.”
