Kuiken Brothers Co. has agreed to acquire Paramus Building Supply, with locations in Paramus and Bergenfield, N.J.
For customers of both companies, this is about something pretty simple: bringing together two experienced local teams to provide even better service, greater inventory depth and stronger delivery capabilities throughout Bergen County and beyond.
And just as importantly, it’s about building on the people, relationships and reputation that are already here.
Buildings, trucks and inventory are important. But they weren’t the most important part of this acquisition. The people were.
Paramus Building Supply has spent decades developing a knowledgeable team, earning the trust of its customers and establishing a reputation in Bergen County. That kind of experience and goodwill can’t simply be purchased and recreated somewhere else. We believe it should be respected, retained and built upon. That’s one of the reasons this opportunity made sense for Kuiken Brothers.

Kuiken wants to understand what Paramus Building Supply does exceptionally well, preserve it, and give its people additional resources to build upon it.

The addition of Paramus and Bergenfield locations significantly strengthens Kuiken's presence in the northern New Jersey market we have served for generations. More inventory positioned closer to customers, additional delivery capacity and two experienced teams give them greater flexibility to move material throughout Bergen County and the surrounding region.
But the opportunity extends well beyond Bergen County. A stronger network here creates additional capacity across existing locations and gives Kuiken Brothers greater flexibility to continue growing into markets where its customers are already taking us. That includes continued expansion throughout New Jersey, greater reach into the coastal and Jersey Shore markets, and additional opportunities north into the Hudson Valley.
