Humboldt Sawmill Company is pleased to announce the winner of the company’s first ever “First Truck on Us” redwood timber program: Brad Gabriel from OrePac Building Products.

The winner was announced on the final day of the North American Wholesale Lumber Association (NAWLA) Traders Market in Phoenix, Az. Humboldt Sawmill displayed the winning prize, a full truckload of redwood timbers, on the tradeshow floor for attendees to see and touch.

“The show floor was buzzing with anticipation and excitement, exactly what we were hoping to accomplish,” said Jason Faulkner, VP, mill sales for Humboldt Sawmill Company.

Faulkner added, “We have been working hard to reacquaint the industry with redwood and believe we have taken a big step forward in that regard. Redwood can be used just about anywhere western red cedar or tropical hardwoods are used and performs as well, if not better, in many of the same applications.”
