Investigators are seeking the cause of three separate, concurrent early-morning fires that damaged three different structures and destroyed equipment at Empire Lumber Co.'s sawmill in Kamiah, Id.
The blazes began about 2 a.m. on Aug 18. Fire crews arrived to see mill employees already fighting fires at each of the three separate buildings.
“One structure had the roof and sides destroyed," fire chief Billy Monahan told reporters. "The conveyor belt was destroyed that leads up to the large hopper.”
