Westlake Ace Hardware will relocate its Olathe, Ks., store, which is currently located at 120 N. Clairborne, to a new location at 15066 W. 151st St (at the northeast corner of 151st Street & Black Bob).

The new Westlake Ace store will occupy a former Walgreens location, providing approximately 11,500 sq. ft. of retail space. It is expected to open in late March 2025. The current location at 120 N. Clairborne will close on March 1, 2025.

The store is being relocated because of the pending construction on East Santa Fe Street and its interchange with Interstate 35. All current store associates will be transferred to the new location. Westlake Ace currently owns and operates 30 stores in the greater Kansas City metropolitan region.

“The new store will offer improved access and an enhanced shopping experience for our customers in the southern part of Olathe,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings (parent company of Westlake Ace Hardware). “As with all Westlake Ace stores, the new Olathe location will showcase how we live the Ace Helpful Promise daily through world-class service, helpful advice, and the leading products customers need to get their projects done right.”

In addition to offering such services as key cutting, automotive key fob replacement, and propane tank exchange, the new store will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. It will also showcase several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such brands as:

• Stihl, Ego, and Milwaukee outdoor power equipment

• Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints

• Garden Center featuring annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, tropicals, and shrubs

• Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman power tools

• Weber, Traeger, and Big Green Egg grills and accessories

• Scotts lawn care products

• Yeti coolers, drinkware, and accessories

For nearly 120 years, Westlake Ace Hardware has been the helpful neighborhood hardware store countless generations have counted on for power and hand tools, fasteners, paint, plumbing, lawn care, pet, electrical supplies, and BBQ grills and accessories. Westlake lives the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and products so its customers and neighbors get their projects done right every time.
