Modern Mill has introduced ACRE Shingle Siding, reportedly the only stainable composite shingle on the market. It accepts stain evenly without knots, sap lines, or tannin bleed.
The perfection shingle is available 5/16" thick in 4-ft. panels in ACRE Grain. It is available factory finished in all seven colors of Modern Mill’s Signature Stain Collection: Biloxi, Amory, Walnut, ACRE Black, Laurel, Montauk Gray, and Mahogany.
Like all other ACRE products, the siding is made from over 50% upcycled rice hulls with the rest being a clean rigid PVC resin. It is 100% tree-free, and doesn’t contain any phenol, formaldehyde, adhesives or VOCs.
It is designed to match the natural warmth of cedar shingles without the weathering, rot or frequent maintenance that comes with real wood. It’s resistant to water, rot, weather, splintering and pests.
