Siwek Lumber, Jordan, Mn., has acquired the inventory, equipment and property of Generation Building Center, Lonsdale, Mn., expanding its inventory, market presence, and delivery footprint across southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities metro area.
Generations Building Center ceased retail operations on May 7; the location will no longer function as a lumberyard. Its assets are being integrated into Siwek's Jordan and Le Sueur, Mn., locations.
According to a spokesperson for Siwek, "While the Lonsdale location will not be operating as a lumberyard, we remain committed to supporting the area. We’ll continue serving Lonsdale and surrounding communities from our Jordan and Le Sueur locations— now with a reduced $49 delivery rate."
Siwek will retain the Lonsdale property for possible future expansion and, in the interim, is offering it for lease.
