Westlake Ace Hardware has signed an agreement to open a new store in Columbia, Mo.

Located in the Rock Bridge Shopping Center (405 E Nifong Blvd. in Columbia, Mo.), the 30,000-sq. ft. store will feature nearly 22,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Remodeling of the space, formerly occupied by Big Lots, will begin in the summer of 2024. A soft opening is planned for late 2024.

Westlake Ace has been part of the Columbia community since 1960, and currently owns and operates two other locations at 1910 W. Worley and 1900 Business Loop 70 East.

In addition to offering such services as key cutting, automotive key fob replacement, and propane tank exchange, the store will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. The new store will also showcase several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such brands as:

• Stihl, Ego, and Milwaukee outdoor power equipment

• Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints

• Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman power tools

• Weber, Traeger, and Big Green Egg grills and accessories

• Scotts lawn care products

• Yeti coolers, drinkware, and accessories

“Westlake Ace Hardware has been an employer, retailer, and neighbor in Columbia for many years. We love this community,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings (parent company of Westlake Ace Hardware). “It’s a great honor to open a third store in Columbia and create exciting opportunities to show new generations of customers how we live the Ace Helpful Promise daily through reliable service, helpful advice, and the products they need to get their projects done right.”
