LAT SELECTS HONOREES FOR UPCOMING CONVENTION

LAT will honor dealer Jerry Lightfoot and associate Lynn Noesser at its upcoming convention in Austin, Tx.

LAT, a non-profit trade association that represents Texas’ building materials industry, will honor dealer Jerry Lightfoot and associate Lynn Noesser at its upcoming convention in Austin, Tx.

The LAT membership has selected Lightfoot, Vice President at Orange County Building Material Inc., as the 2024 Dealer of the Year. The award is based on dedication to LAT and the industry, service to customers, participation in civic and community affairs and developing camaraderie among LAT members. Lightfoot serves on LAT’s Board of Directors and is a LUMPAC trustee.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized as Dealer of the Year,” said Jerry Lightfoot, Vice President at Orange County Building Material Inc. “This award reflects the hard work of my family, our employees, and the many peers and partners across LAT who share a commitment to strengthening our industry and the communities we serve.”

“Jerry elevates the standards for volunteer leadership with his collaborative spirit and unwavering dedication to LAT,” said Kate Woodson Borroni, President of the LAT Board of Directors, Human Resources and Principal at Woodson Lumber Company. “As a LUMPAC trustee, and one of the founders of the Texas Unity Dinner, he understands the need to invest in legislators with influence and ability to champion the building materials industry and sets a powerful example for his peers and future leaders across the industry.”

The associate award is based on level of service to LAT’s dealer members and dedication to and engagement with LAT for the betterment of the industry. The LAT membership has selected Lynn Noesser as the 2024 Associate of the Year. Noesser recently retired from BlueLinx Corporation, after decades of dedicated service to the industry. He served as a LAT Director and a member of the Audit & Investment Committee.

“I’m truly honored and humbled to receive this award,” said Lynn Noesser. “It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to have supported and worked alongside such a dedicated group of professionals who are shaping the future of the industry.”

“Lynn’s career was built on integrity, hard work and unwavering professionalism, traits that he shared with LAT making us a stronger organization,” said Borroni. “He brought other industry leaders along, was a voice for Texas LBM at the legislature and made a lasting impact on the industry. We look forward to celebrating Jerry and Lynn for their outsized contributions.”

The awards will be presented at the 139th LAT Convention & Expo September 17-19, 2025, in Austin.
