The Home Depot has opened a new flatbed delivery center in Westminster, Ma., expanding its capabilities for serving professional contractors across the greater Boston area and throughout New England.
The approximately 1.1-million-sq. ft. facility is the 18th flatbed delivery center (FDC) in the company’s network. The specialized distribution hub is designed to handle oversized and bulk building materials, allowing large orders to be shipped directly to active job sites rather than through retail stores.
The center stocks a broad assortment of heavy-duty building products and is capable of supplying job-lot quantities for entire projects in a single order. Deliveries are made through The Home Depot’s flatbed fleet, helping contractors avoid arranging transportation for large materials. By processing major orders at the Westminster facility, the company said it will also free up floor space and employee resources at 80 stores throughout the region.
“A pro’s most valuable asset is their time, so we’re continuing to expand our flatbed delivery network to get heavy materials to more job sites faster and more efficiently,” said Michael Rowe, executive vice president of pro for The Home Depot. “It’s critical that our Pros can rely on fast, reliable delivery so they can get the materials they need, when and where they need them—keeping crews on-site and projects on schedule.”
The Westminster facility is integrated with The Home Depot’s broader suite of services for professional customers. These include delivery scheduling options, including same-day and next-day delivery on eligible products; trade credit programs that delay invoicing until materials are delivered; preferred pricing programs; dedicated pro sales support; and digital project-management and AI-enabled planning tools.
The new center is part of a larger company initiative to expand services and infrastructure for professional customers. Alongside growth of its flatbed delivery network, The Home Depot has also been adding stores across the United States during 2026, including locations in Leander and Celina, Tx.; Buckeye, Az.; Mission Valley, Ca.; Naples, Fl.; Dallas, Tx.; and Hot Springs, Ar.
The Westminster flatbed delivery center opened in August and is expected to create more than 200 jobs while supporting 80 Home Depot stores throughout the region.
