An intense blaze has destroyed A.J. Anich Lumber/Pal Steel Co., Palmyra, Wi.
Firefighters responded to a call of a purported shed fire just after 11:00 p.m. Jan. 19. They discovered the entire yard engulfed in flames and were forced to battle the blaze, as well as freezing temperatures, for hours. Thirty fire trucks from four neighboring counties assisted.
“Went from the steel shed all the way through the lumber shed to the office. It’s a complete loss,” manager Jesse Grenier told WMTV15 News.
The business served the local community for more than 50 years.
