A new wholesale distribution company—Wildwood Trading Group, Tualatin, Or.—has been formed by president Mike Phillips, ex-Hampton Lumber Sales, and vice presidents of sales Grant Phillips and Kevin Dodds, both previously with Collins Companies.

They are joined by VP of operations John Reger, ex-Pacific States Veneer; director of administration Aly Kingsley, ex-Collins; traffic manager Misty Dicks, ex-Collins; and commodity lumber salesman Jake Moriniti, ex-Collins.

In addition, effective with its first day of operation on Sept. 10, Wildwood became exclusive sales agent for all production of Vaagen Bros. Lumber Co.’s three Northwest sawmills. As part of the deal, the entire Vaagen sales team will transition to the Wildwood sales team. Vaagen’s Colville, Wa.-based sales personnel, including general mill sales manager John Branstetter and mill sales reps Greg Martin, Hanna Smith, and Mick Vaagen, will continue working out of Colville. Field sales reps Bruce Bergquist, Mike Gannon, and Paul Waldon will maintain their current locations, now under Wildwood.
