84 Lumber Closes 3 More Stores:

  84 Lumber Co. is closing three stores-in North Auburn and Modesto, Ca., and in Lake City, Fl.

The two Northern California yards were initially shuttered June 9 and have reopened temporarily to liquidate inventory.

The Florida unit, according to 84''s Jeff Nobers, "is being consolidated into other stores in the region."

The chain closed 10 stores in March, following even greater cut-backs through 2009 and 2008.
