Hammond Lumber, Belgrade, Me., has acquired Downeast Energy's 79-year-old Downeast Building Supply, which operates adjacent to Downeast Energy's headquarters in Brunswick, Me.

The sale includes the building supply's retail store, kitchen showroom, and lumberyard. The division's 30-plus employees will all be retained.
